Graham is an experienced road safety practitioner having worked in local government, with road safety charities and now runs his own consultancy. He has strong links with the driver training industry having had experience in developing driver improvement schemes, speed workshops and drink drive rehabilitation courses in the early days. He provides support to those who are looking to become driver trainers and getting them to understand that driving is not just about teaching “mechanical skills.” He is the road safety adviser to the ADI National Joint Council and actively supports the work of the Motor Schools Association of GB. He is a member of the Parliamentary Council for Transport Safety and also a member of the UK National Road Safety Committee which he was Chairman for 12 years stepping down in 2023.
I have been involved in the driver training industry for 36 years as an ADI both in classroom, on line and the vehicle in cars and HGV's. Still enjoying the Job even after all this years. Previously before becoming an ADI I Worked in the textile industry here in West Yorkshire attaining a Degree equivalent in Textile Technology. My hobbies are keeping fit ,eating well and holidaying with my wife Carol and our dog 'Tilly' an Airdale Terrier.
Kathy Higgins is an award-winning businesswoman, with 7 awards both for business and within the driver training industry, she is possibly one of the most qualified driver trainers in the industry and has amassed an array of varied CPD. Kathy has progressed from being a franchisee of a national driving school to running her own multi car driving school and encourages her instructors to undergo regular CPD, in the way of free weekly classroom sessions, which cover a variety of topics from fault identification to multicultural communication, and everything in between.She is a published author, writing ‘An Insight to Drive’, a training quality monitor across all the police diversionary courses and runs a small business outside of the driver training industry. She is a firm believer that having only one income stream is a dangerous place to be. Having said all that, she has not lost sight of the real world and still has a good sense of humour and enjoys working with people.When she is not working, she enjoys church bellringing, tai chi, and amateur dramatics.

Charles, before his retirement in 2012, spent the last ten years of his career with The Driving Standards Agency, the last six years being Registrar of Approved Driving Instructors. Before this, I was Area Manager of Midlands &Eastern, responsible for the delivery of the Driving Test, maintenance of Test Centres, management of the Driving Examiners and a large Administration Team. Previously, he spent thirty years in the Retail Sector in a variety of operational field roles, ultimately as a Divisional Executive with responsibility for over sixty Supermarkets. In both the Public and Private Sectors, Charles held positions on numerous Boards responsible and accountable for the delivery of key objectives and the business's financial well-being. Within the Institute, Charles has responsibility for the Institute’s Annual Industry Awards.

Mike has been involved with road safety and driver training since 1982, originating from his emergency service background and the desire to reduce casualties and collisions. He qualified as an ADI in 1998 as a fleet trainer in 2006, and an examiner for IAM RoadSmart and RoSPA. He has been a self-employed driver trainer since 2006. He has previously delivered the NDORS suite of courses and worked with various organisations and companies, delivering both on-road and classroom-based courses. He has been a member of IMTD since 2009.
After about 25 years working in the City as an insolvency lawyer, mostly in banking and re-insurance law, Janet changed direction and qualified as an ADI in 2004. Janet joined the Motor Schools Association of GB and is on the committee for London and the South East. Janet is a RoSPA and IAM Road Smart member and holds qualifications in Safe Driving for Work and Drug and Alcohol Misuse. She delivers Drink Drive Rehabilitation courses and speaks at various seminars and conferences.
Nick spent many years in the insurance industry dealing with motor and liability claims, seeing first-hand the consequences of poor safety management both on the road and off. He changed career in 2011, qualifying as an ADI with a large national franchise before being head-hunted by an ambitious local franchise. He was introduced to the fleet training industry through a talk at his local driving instructor's association, gaining his fleet qualification and then becoming involved in driver rehabilitation through the NDORS scheme and qualifying as a substance abuse counsellor to participate in the drink-drive rehabilitation scheme. Nick is also a volunteer advanced tutor for RoSPA and regularly works as a training consultant for IAM RoadSmart."
